Building Greater Exeter are pleased to announce our NEW Construction Training Directory is now live, providing information on courses in construction and the built environment in Greater Exeter. This training directory offers a ‘one stop’ opportunity to access all information about courses in the Greater Exeter area that can lead into a career in construction.
The aim is to make it as easy as possible for employers to find apprentices/trainees or courses to upskill their workforce, and of course for individuals looking for courses in the local area, connecting them directly to training providers.
It helps us meet two of our main goals – inspiring the future workforce by showcasing the wide range of training opportunities and supporting employers to recruit and upskill their workforce.
The Directory is a result of our involvement with the Greater Exeter Construction Working Group, working in partnership with Sharron Robbie MBE of Devon and Cornwall Training Providers Network and our project partners Exeter College, University of Exeter, The Focus Training Group, PGL Training Ltd, Bicton College, Petroc Official and Trans Plant Mastertrain to create this valuable resource and we’d like to thank Sharron and all those involved.
The Construction Training Directory is housed on the Building Greater Exeter website and can be viewed online or as an interactive PDF which have been designed to meet the needs of dyslexic readers.
The Directory will be promoted directly to the supply chain working on major projects in the local area, to Career Leads at local secondary schools and through our project partners.
