Last week we launched our Construction Job Shop at the Civic Centre in Exeter, in partnership with Building Growth South West. The aim of the Job Shop is to promote opportunities across Greater Exeter and connect job seekers to vacancies for employment, training or work experience.
Building Growth South West and RGB Recruitment were on hand to promote current vacancies and provide advice on current training opportunities. Pictured here with Aaron Western, our first Job Shop customer who we hope to find a role in construction very soon!
Councillor Bob Foale said, “The Job Shop is a brilliant initiative as we have a dearth of skilled workers and we need more apprentices in work too to help with the skills shortage.”
As a result of the launch, we are pleased to announce that we were able to place a customer into a new job starting the following the day through our partner RGB Recruitment. We look forward to supporting many more people into employment through the Construction Job Shop.
