Oakwood Court College approached the project towards the end of 2021, looking for some support for their students. Alex Lloyd, Head of Work Experience, Internship & Employability at Oakwood, was connected with project partners, Vistry Partnerships and Coreus. As a result of this, we have had the following outcomes:
Joe from the college started his Transition 2 Site programme at the Vistry Alphington Academy in March. Towards the end of April 2022 he completed the course, and created a mini project as well! Joe is now set to continue with his learning and progress to the Level 1 Construction course for Vistry’s Pathway 2 Site programme where he will work with employers on site.
Poppy from the college has joined Coreus, who are working towards becoming a Disability Confident Employer, for a term’s work placement from April onwards.
