‘St Sidwell’s Point’ is Exeter’s new state of the art leisure centre and will be the most energy efficient in the UK.
The leisure centre opened in July 2022 and includes three pools, a gym and two fitness studios, health suite and spa facility, children’s soft play area and a café.
This environmentally friendly building is designed to save up to 70% on annual energy costs, the pools will have exceptional water quality, with minimal chemical content and the heat generated from the gym will help heat the pools.
Over 600 people have helped to design, construct and deliver this amazing building and we have created a number of videos which showcase the building and construction careers, which are found below.
In addition the ‘St Sidwell’s Point Education Pack’ provides further information on the project background, environmental benefits, healthy design, building biology and construction careers.
